So, this particular dude got married to this woman. After their wedding, he told his wife not to work. She should sit at home & take care of the kids. At 1st, the wife declined.
He then called a family meeting (both his family & that of the wife's).
In a bid for the family members to help convince his wife. He begged, the families also pleaded to convince the wife.
In order to make his plea mouth watering; He devised a contract between both of them in the presence of all the family members to be paying the wife ₦500k every month just to stay at home & take care of the kids & the home. After much plea from both families considering the husband's offer, the wife eventually accepted the offer.
Each month, the husband paid his wife ₦500k for 5years in the marriage.
At the 6th year, Business wasn't going fine for the husband as usual; So in the 1st month of the 6th year, he reduced it to ₦300k.
At the end of the 2nd month; The Husband called the wife & explained the situation of things on ground as business is no longer booming.
He advised her to go get a job or open a store (hopefully with her savings) in order to support the house/family as he can no longer keep up with the monthly salary of ₦500k or ₦300k due to the current situation of economy which has affected the business.
The woman blatantly refused!. She stated that the husband signed a contract with her in the presence of both families to pay her ₦500k for life every month as part of the agreement to make her not to work (which she refused initially 5years ago). Now he wants her to go back to the street & start job hunting?
The woman called another family meeting (both hers & the man's) & made it clear that there was a contract signed between her & the husband which everyone admitted.
She then asked that the husband continue with the contract, else she will sue him to court for breach of Contract (and she was very serious about the matter). At 1st, it felt like a play. But as things goes on, she stood her ground.
Families begged, Nothing!
Husband begged, Nothing!
She's threatening to sue the husband & their marriage with the contract signed.
