Dear Someone,
There have been recent reports of fraudsters deploying new strategies to steal banking information of unsuspecting individuals to gain access into their bank accounts through their registered phone numbers (registered SIM cards).
Please ensure you take the following precautions to secure your bank accounts:
1. Disregard any text message requesting that you link your BVN or NIN with the use of a code.
.............Na Big Scam! No bank will send you SMS for such link.
2. Do not respond to any emails or calls asking for your personal information (BVN, NIN, PIN, password, date of birth, account number, card number, etc).
............No Bank official will call you via the phone/emails asking for your personal details....Na scam!
3. Keep your BVN details safe as this is a confidential information.
...........Many of us still think BVN is just a series of numbers; it's actually your finance password that is even precious than your ATM PIN. Protect it at all cost!
4. Avoid saving bank account details on the phone as this can expose you unduly if your phone is misplaced or stolen.
..........I cannot over emphasize this pointer....STOP SAVING YOUR BANK DETAILS ON YOUR PHONE ABEG!!!!!!!!!
PS: Abeg follow this guidelines judiciously and be alert at all times to avoid being that dude on the above display.
God bless you for reading.....until next time.....Stay Safe.
